I find some explanations about the game in previews etc. how would you run into other creatures you've created, on other planets, unless you've chosen to share them? I would recommend looking at the forum that I linked, they have a lot of helpful topics there. You may also be able to bring your creations in at some point in the space stage, but I am not sure about that. If you've told the game to only use creatures you've made to populate the universe (I believe that's probably possible), then you obviously have a much greater chance of finding them. You do run the chance, however, of finding creatures you've created on other planets, just as a random chance. It would make sense that you only actively play as one species per save.

They have many help threads on the forums I linked, you might want to browse around in there. I was reading on the Gaming Steve Spore forum (an excellent source for Spore info) that you can start with a creature you made at any stage, other than cell, obviously.Ģ. It's all part of how the game is procedurally programmed, it's very intelligent.ġ. PNG files have a transparent background that allow for the storage of information. That's how Spore stores it's information for things created in editors. So either the data info is extremely minimal for a saved creature in Spore, or.? The creatures obviously save off line, and I tested to be sure by disconnecting from the net, but the odd thing is, the Spore folder never increases in size when saving creatures.
#Spore creations not uploading full#
It's currently on a laptop, but the full game will be installed on her desktop system.ĭoes anyone know in what folder(s) the creature information is stored? And what folder(s)/file(s) I'd have to copy from the demo to the full game? The reason we need to do it this way (as opposed to just installing over the demo) is due to the fact that the full game will be installed on a different system. Usually I have no problems finding/knowing which files to do this with, but I've no idea regarding Spore. However, I cannot find the file(s)/folder(s) in the directory in which the creations themselves are actually stored, in order to drop it into a new folder in the full game where creatures will also be stored. My wife is currently trying out the demo Creature Creator and has saved a few creatures that she would like to transfer to the full game, as is stated is possible upon installing the demo.
